Lead-Free Brass P X P Mechanical "V" Profile Press Union
The Fada Press System Eco Brass male union features an inboard EPDM O-ring. Simply applying pressure from a pressing tool tightens the O-ring onto the tube, ensuring a clean, watertight seal in seconds, with no flame, solder or flux. The male union has a press connection and male NPT thread. The fitting provides a method for adapting a press connection to a threaded connection.
In addiction to its inherent qualities of beauty, durability and low maintenance, copper's reusability makes it an ideal application in sustainable projects.
The small diameter fittings 1/2"-2" are made from naturally lead free brass. EPDM O-ring are pre-installed and lubricated with ANSI/NSF 61 listed silicone oil.

Q: What is NSF/ANSI 372, Drinking Water System Components?
A: The Standard establishes procedures for the determination of lead content based on the wetted surface area of products. This standard applies to any drinking water system component that conveys or dispenses water for human consumption through drinking or cooking. The NSF/ANSI 372 standard is consistent with requirements of the Reduction of Lead in Drinking Water Act.
Q: What does Lead free mean?
A: The Federal Safe Drinking Water Act, redefining "lead-free" as a maximum weighted lead content of 0.25% on the wetted surface of plumbing products. Before that 2011 amendment, the legal limit was 8%. In other words, leaded pipes, fittings and valves can only be used in process that don't involve contact with food, drink or any other form of bodily intake.
